Artist's Comments

This is one that I did at home when I was bored lol.

I noticed that all of my pictures only had one person in them so I decided to add a second one to this.

Enjoy!

I like! I like! The thing I really like about the pic is the shirt on the person on the left. That shirt alone sets her apart from the originals. Everytime we see her in that shirt, We'll say, "HEY! Thats that girl in the block shirt!" The chick on the right is also a nice one, but doesn't really stand out. The thing that makes her different is the hair. Other than that it hold good compisition. The chick on the left is a "A+" definetly, while the girl on the right is borderline "B+" only because she didn't stand out as much as the other girl. But they balance eachother. Over all, A. Try overcoats. Remember my character with the over coat? Add something to her that makes her unique.

There's a crazy asshole in all of us.

You asked for some critique from me so here you go :3

The first thing I notice is the wrists on both characters are too thick, the arm should thin at the wrist and flow smoothly into the hand where it would widen again, whereas you have drawn the arm the same thickness the whole way going into the hand. The hands are good, you have drawn them well.

The second is the girl's hips, they are a little too narrow, they should be about the same width as her chest just under her arms at the top of the ribcage, give or take a little bit. For a girl with quite large breasts I think she should be a little curvier :giggle:

For the hair, the front bangs are smooth and that looks good, but for the girl's bunches try making the lines more curved and flowing into each other/overlapping rather than a singluar straight spiked line.

The general anatomy is quite good, you just need to practise more on that I think. Study photos and draw from references, it helps a lot. Try adding a few creases and folds in the clothes as well, ~Crysa has a really good tutorial or two in her gallery that would be able to help with that.

You're definitely on the right lines and your characters have nice designs, so keep it up, practise a lot and you'll be doing great :3 I hope this helps you!

Thanks man, I did kinda notice those things after you pointed them out.
I will try my best to improve! =]
What I think is really cool is that these drawings are after around 10 months of me drawing, and between you and me, I used to absolutely suck at drawing anime! You can ask my cuz Sedated Rabbit.

But I have been improving which is really inspiring.

If you wouldnt mind, do you think you could critique my future pieces?
:iconthe-max-factor:
I used to really suck at drawing anime too :giggle: I don't think anyone can just put pen to paper and make a perfect anime picture, though I'm sure there's people out there who find it very easy :3 I've been drawing anime on and off for about 7 years now and I still find it hard sometimes, I have to really concentrate. I think you're doing very well for just 10 months, especially with your anatomy which is always hard :3

I'll add you to my watch list and critique as much as I can, but I have a very busy month this month so i might be a bit slow at the moment! X3;;
